Welding Sparks Fire at Wrecking Yard

Prince George, B.C.-  Hot time this fternoon at the P.g. Auto Wreckers.

At approximately 2 this afternoon, Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire in the 9000 block of Sintich Rd. Eight firefighters from two halls responded to this incident. On arrival crews found seven salvage vehicles on fire. The fire was quickly brought under control and there was no other exposures invoved.

The fire was caused by sparks from a welder and then spread to the other vehicles.  

No loss amount is available at this time.
